Things aren’t looking up for Jesse James, who, for a while, was reportedly trying to win back the affections of his estranged, Oscar-winning ex, Sandra Bullock.
Since being caught by the good folks over at People magazine holding hands with tattooed L.A. Ink reality star, Kat Von D whose real name is Katherine Von Drachenberg, James’ dreams of a reconciliation with Bullock are fading fast. On Saturday night, James was seen sitting next to Von D while dining on steak and shrimp at Palms Casino Resort’s N9NE in Vegas.
People reports that 41-year-old James and his 28-year-old tatted-up lady friend headed to a black Mercedes, which was driven by James.
However, Von D’s rep claims the story is being blown out of proportion and that Von D, who has been linked to Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx, often holds hands with her male friends.
“They did have dinner, but they are just friends,” Von D’s rep told the press. “They’ve always remained good friends, there is no romance there with Jesse,” adding that Von D has “been seen holding hands with friends before.”
James and Von D, who both have reality shows on the TLC network, were also seen at Bodies The Exhibition at the Luxor Hotel and Casino.
James has reportedly been desperate to earn forgiveness from Bullock, even though his divorce from her was finalized in June. Their marriage fell apart shortly after Bullock won an Oscar for her role in The Blind Side when a tattoo model came forward claiming to have carried on an 11-month affair with James. The floodgates then opened, and more women came forward with similar stories. What was shocking was not James’ affairs, but how shameless he was in seeking out mistresses even though he was in a high-profile relationship with one of America’s highest paid actresses. Reportedly, James would often post Internet ads seeking “hot tattooed biker chicks with big boobs” and invite respondents back to his West Coast Choppers bike shop. Subtle in his dalliances, James was not.
Shortly after his tangled web became public, James appeared on Nightline in May, admitting: “I told [Sandra] basically everything, that I had affairs outside of our marriage.”
James said he knew he’d get caught eventually, adding, “I lied, and lied my way out of it. I lied to everyone about everything, even to myself.”
