    NFL

If you thought the NFL was hard to handicap before this, now is when it starts to get really tricky. Five teams have already clinched a playoff spot – New England, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville in the AFC, and Philadelphia and Minnesota in the NFC. The last two weeks of the regular season are full of factors to consider while you get ready to make your picks, most importantly, which teams need this wins and which are already playing for next year.

The Steelers and Patriots can clinch first-round byes and New England has an opportunity to secure home field advantage in the playoffs. New England is a big 12.5-point favourite at home to Buffalo, but early bettors think that line is a little heavy. More than 60 percent of bettors are currently backing the underdog Bills. The Steelers are set as 9.5-point favourites in Houston in the first of two Monday Night Football matchups and they’re seeing nearly 70 percent of the points spread bets to date.

In the NFC, the Eagles are looking to nail down home-field advantage, the Vikings can get a bye, and the L.A. Rams can clinch a playoff spot.  Philadelphia is an 8.5-point favourite at home to Oakland in the MNF nightcap, but our action is split right down the middle on this point spread. Meanwhile, Minnesota is a 9-point chalk against a Green Bay team that doesn’t have anything to play for and more than 85 percent of bettors are the Vikings to cover. Nearly 90 percent of bets are on the Rams to cover 6.5 points in Tennessee.

    College Football Playoff

If the odds are on point, we’re in for a couple of interesting College Football Playoff matchups. Georgia was set as a 2-point favourite against Oklahoma, but that game is now listed as a Pick ‘em with the Bulldogs set at -130. We’re seeing 75 percent of the betting action come in on Oklahoma. In the other CFP game, Alabama is a 3-point favourite, but about 60 percent of bets are backing Clemson to cover.

    NBA

The Toronto Raptors are finally turning some heads thanks to a 20-8 start that has them closing in on the Boston Celtics at the top of the Atlantic Division. The Dinos are now 16-12 against the spread and their league-wide stats say this could be a team that is the real deal. Toronto ranks among the top 10 in scoring offence and field-goal percentage as well as points allowed and field-goal percentage allowed.  This squad is getting it done on both ends of the floor.
