NFL
Pre-Season has arrived and Sports Interaction betting
analyst Al Dannity is here to offer his expertise on the early games.
Pre-season gives bettors a chance to finally get back into NFL
action but it’s also one of the most challenging times of year. With back-ups
getting the bulk of the minutes, bettors need to think a little deeper when
making their picks. Fortunately this year’s slate opens with a game where one
team wants to make a big statement. The Saints take on the Cardinals in the
first game of pre-season NFL action and even if he’s only in for a series, you
know Drew Brees wants to make a statement. On Hall of Fame weekend, the Saints
have their chance to make a statement right in front of the NFL brass they are
at loggerheads with. The starters will only play a series or two but they will
play hard. Likewise the back-ups will see this as their chance to stand up and
make a statement for New Orleans. The Cardinals don’t have a tenth of this kind
of motivation. For Arizona the priorities will be simple. Keep everyone healthy
and get a good look at some potential back-ups. Throw in the Saints’ propensity
to find some brilliant undrafted talent and you’ve got a machine that’s ready
to win big. Bet on the New Orleans Saints as -2.5 favorites with Sports
Interaction!
The debut of Robert Griffin III has seen
the Redskins installed as -2.0 favorites against Buffalo. This looks like a
game where there’s good value for bettors. RGIII is unlikely to see more than a
series or two and the Bills won’t make it easy for him in his first taste of
the big league. The Bills don’t have a playoff caliber roster but they do
possess the type of back-ups that will stand out at this time of year. I’m
going with the underdog here. Bet on the Buffalo Bills as +2.0 underdogs to win
big with Sports Interaction!
The battle of Pennsylvania sees the
Eagles host the Steelers and this stands out as a game for smart bettors. Ben
Roethlisberger is hurt and may not see any action in this game. In what looks
like a transitional year for Pittsburgh, they will still be finding their way
in terms of depth. The Eagles on the other hand have plenty of motivation to
look strong early. Bet on the Eagles to win as -1.0 favorites with Sports
Interaction.
